Keeping the Lights On Starts With Gear You Can Trust

Every morning across New Zealand, line mechanics pull on insulating gloves and head up poles in EWPs. Most of them never think twice about whether that gear will do its job. That's how it should be, and it's only possible because someone tested it properly.

That's the part we play at DEG. We certify the equipment lives depend on. Our IANZ-accredited inspectors test insulating gloves, sleeves, blankets, hot sticks, earth sets, and voltage detectors. Our team looks after EWP certificates, five and ten-year majors to AS 2550.10, and NDT on ageing pole-top steelwork where a visual check no longer tells the full story.

One thing that makes life easier for network operators is that we hold dual IANZ accreditation, covering both the lab (ISO/IEC 17025) and inspection (ISO/IEC 17020). In practical terms it means one provider, one audit trail, and one phone call for work that used to need several suppliers. It's how we support lines companies and contractors across some of the most demanding terrain in the country.

If your next compliance cycle is creeping up, get in touch. We'd be glad to help you get ahead of it.
